Recently I have reworked the spell aura system.
Previously, we used a similar approach as every MaNGOS core, by simply using a list of aura effects per target. But one spell can create multiple such aura effects on a target, which will be displayed as one spell at the client (if displayed at all). This approach made it very hard to properly manage auras related to one single spell cast.
Also, certain mechanics were handled up to three time for the same aura instance, for example expiration! Each of the possible three aura effects were counting down their own expiration timer...
What we do now instead, is to bundle these aura effects into a container class we call AuraSpellSlot. This class handles all mechanics which are shared by all aura effects (like stack count, expiration countdown etc.), which performs way better. It is also a lot easier for us to things like removing all aura effects from a target that were caused by the same spell cast, aura overwriting and all that stuff.
While we were at it, we also added some missing features and fixing some bugs.Comments (0)
Just wanted to show this to you all. I know, this video isn't edited with fancy effects and stuff, but is hopefully still interesting for you.
It demonstrates how easy it is for us to create unit and object spawns using our custom editor.

well we think there is a large german-speaking community for PS, as you can see on other projects like kronos, elysium/nostalrius.

I feel the passion but my opinion as a German is that it's a waste of time doing it bilingual. You should stick to English. There will never be enough German speaking players to have a decent population.

Lot of things have changed. We need to update the English site more often :o
